1913, SHQIPENIE type postmarks used on Ottoman Empire stamps: attractive group comprising 20 Pa rose (Mi.161), tied by VLONE/SHQIPENIE, 30.5.1913, on patriotic ppc Lloyd Steamer D.Gastein addressed to Saloniki; 1 Pia bue (Mi.162), tied by BERAT/SHQIPENIE, 30.5.1913, on cover addressed to Trieste; two fragments with 1 Pia blue resp. 4 x 5 Pa ochre + 1 Pia blue, each tied by FIER/SHQIPENIE, 10.6.1913, and 1 Pia blue (Mi.137) on piece cancelled after the end of validity by LUSHJE/SHQIPENIE, 12.7.1913. VF condition.
The monolingual Shqipenie type postmarks were introduced shortly in advance of Albania's first regular 'double eagle' definitives at 16.6.1913 and Ottoman Empire stamps consequently expired in Albania at 15.6.1913. Ottoman Empire stamps with Shqipenie type postmarks are VERY RARE!

Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
