1870 'Stampless period': Letter from Buenos Aires to Paris per British s/s "Douro" via Southampton, London and Calais, without adhesives due to the lack of British postage stamps in Buenos Aires at that time, bearing the red "BUENOS-AYRES/PAID/MY 14/70" despatch c.d.s., red "PD" in oval, red London Paid transit dater, Calais transit c.d.s. and red charge mark "6" corrected to "8" all on front, Paris '15 June 70' arrival datestamp on the reverse, fine.
Value Add Taxes (19%) will be added to the hammer price and the buyers premium.

In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
