1825 BHAUGULPORE: Entire letter sent by 'Lt. George Fraser at Bhaugulpore' to London via Calcutta and Portsmouth, re-directed to Inverness, dated 'August 2nd 1825', cancelled on back by large double oval handstamp "BHAUGULPORE POST OFFICE" (Giles No.4) with m/s 'P.P. 6 as/ship do. 2 as/12 Aug.t/1825' in center, also with black framed "CALCUTTA/G.P.O./19 AG 19/1825" d/s and three Great Britain 'Jan 1826' arrival/transit datestamps alongside, and on the face with black "CALCUTTA GENERAL POST OFFICE/(Aug)/18(25)/20" double-ring d/s and add. in m/s as well as red boxed "INDIA LETTER/PORTSMOUTH" and "1/2" Scottish turnpike h/s. A fresh, fine and unusual letter mention of the 1st Anglo-Burmese War (1824-1826).

In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
