1857, entire letter from LIMA, dated April 11th 1857, sent via transit Panama to New York, on the frontside double-line handstamp "PAID TO PANAMA" in black and circular maritime mail pmk "STEAMSHIP / 10", in addition a second entire letter from LIMA, dated Jan. 26th 1860, sent via transit cds PANAMA, FE 7 1860, along with circular maritime pmk "STEAMSHIP / 10" to New York. F/VF condition

Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
