1874, letter to Genova franked with 2 d blue, plate 14 cancelled with duplex "GIBRALTAR A DE 17 74/A 26". The letter was underpaid, it was therefore franked with 40 C. Italian postage due stamp. The very rare "Con Bastim. Mercant" straightline was applied on arrival in GENOVA. This marking is only recorded on letters arriving from South America.

Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
